Puppy

Growing puppies need more vitamins and minerals in their tucker than adult dogs. With puppy food, the aim is to provide all the nutrients needed for optimal musculo-skeletal growth and maximum disease resistance. So if you 're giving your puppy a commercially prepared food like TUX, you can relax. Everything has already been sorted out for you.

No vitamin or mineral supplements are needed with quality commercially-prepared puppy food. They're already in there.

Most pups need to be fed 4 or 5 times a day (little and often) once they're off mum's milk. You can reduce this to twice a day once he's four or five months old and down to once a day at about eight months. Allow your pup to eat all it wants in 20 minutes.

Make sure puppy's got access to fresh water at all times.

Puppies that grow into smaller dogs (under 25kg) usually stop growing at about 12 months. Larger dogs may need to stay on a growth diet until they're about two years old.
