When transitioning pets to a new diet, it is crucial to do so gradually over at least 7 days to prevent gastrointestinal upset. Begin by mixing ¼ of the new food with the old, increasing the new food by another ¼ every 2 days until the switch is complete. For pets prone to stomach issues, a 10-day transition period may be advisable. Always refer to the feeding guidelines on the food packaging for appropriate serving sizes.

When pets suddenly switch from one diet to another, it can cause gastrointestinal upset and other issues. That is why it is important to slowly introduce your pet to a new diet over the course of at least 7 days.
Gradually replace the old food by starting with ¼ of the new food and increasing the amount by another ¼ every 2 days. After 7 days, the switch over to the new food is complete. If a pet is susceptible to stomach upset, it may be beneficial to transition over 10 days.
Please refer to feeding guidelines found on pack for the appropriate serving size for your pet.
